People from every walk of life in Lahore have, directly or indirectly, greatly influenced my take on the city.

Talking to experts, the general public and spending time with old architectural wonders have added an entire different feel in eyeing Lahore through my ordinary perspective.

Lahore with its rich culture and history has always been a fascination for me. While the wide signal-free roads depict the developed state of the city, the tight lanes of Old Lahore play the role of a time-turner.

The vast contrast in food is also widely seen through the festivals taking place in the city. Where a modern version of chicken grilled sandwich with fries on the side is popular among the foodies, Arif Chatkhara and Phajjay k Paye, linked with generations, causes equal excitement.

Conversing with Alex and Sebastiaan about their stay in Lahore instilled hope for a brighter future for the city and the country.

Coming across a surprise musical talent and discovering an entire life story of a flute player in Gawalmandi left me completely astounded.
Interviewing the very influential Zar Aslam, founder of the Pink Rickshaw scheme, showed how important it is to empower women on streets; and how much more work still has to be done in that regard.

Lahore, the city of gardens, still continues to surprise me as well as the readers of my blog, who I am proud to say contacted the flute player and helped him in their own way.
Looking forward to get surprised by Lahore! On repeat mode.
